The Eco Bird watch Adventure Activity

On August 8-9, Precious Plastic Bangkok collaborated with The Bird Conservation Society of Thailand (BCST) to organize the “Eco Birdwatch Adventure” for the students of Wat Nok Pak Thale School, located in a BCST bird conservation area.

This exciting event aimed to educate children about plastic pollution, climate change, and the impact of plastic waste on birds through fun and engaging adventure-themed stations such as the Island of Recycling, Treasure Island, Island of Mysteries, Lighthouse of Greenhouse Gases, and the Explorers' Basecamp. The students collected waste around the school, practiced separating recyclables, searched for hidden treasures vital for environmental preservation, solved puzzles about the effects of climate change, and explored the relationship between birds and salt fields—all while having fun!

In the afternoon, the kids learned about the impact of plastic waste on both humans and birds to raise awareness of this issue. Additionally, the BCST team organized a Migration Game and an Evolution Game to help the students understand the causes of bird population decline.

The Precious Plastic Bangkok team also cleaned up the Had Sai Med Rak Beach and captured images of the plastic waste impact for future educational materials. We hope this activity inspires the younger generation to join in preserving the environment and becoming part of the effort to create a cleaner, more nature-friendly future!
